Mr. Davis 77, passed away peacefully on Monday April 16, 2018 at his home following a lengthy illness. He was born in Flint, Michigan on July 12, 1940 to the late Francis &Elsie (Ranney) Davis. He married the former Shirley Cromwell on October 28, 1961 in Flint, Michigan, she survives him. Jerry was retired custodian for Bryant Junior High School and Northwestern High School in the Flint School District. He was a member of the Gladwin Church of the Nazarene, Alcoholics Anonyms with 35 years of sobriety and a volunteer for the Special Olympics.
Surviving besides his wife of 56 years are their children Vic & Kathy Davis, Roger & Julie Davis and Christopher Sr. & Debby Davis; grandchildren Kira Davis, Parker Davis, Chelsea (Jason West) Davis, Christopher Davis Jr. Jamison Davis, Lee Ann Mallory and Daniel Hawley; 4 great grandchildren; a brother John “Jack” Davis. He was preceded in death by a daughter Jamie Ann Davis, a sisters Nora Hobson and Jill Dugas and a sister in law Wanda Garza.
Funeral Services will be held Friday April 20, 2018 at 1 pm from Sisson Funeral home with Pastor Mark Boyce presiding with inurnment at Vennia Township Cemetery. Family will be present at the funeral home on Friday from 12 Noon until time of services. Those wishing an expression of sympathy are asked to consider MidMichigan Hospice or the Gladwin Church of the Nazarene.
