Obituary for Robert Timothy Verellen
Robert Timothy Verellen, age 73, joined his Heavenly father on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Mid Michigan Health in Midland. He was born on March 4, 1945 in Pinconning, the son of the late Jack and Catherine Verellen. He was retired from the construction trade. He lived a number of years in the state of Washington, and had been a resident of Gladwin since 1997. Bob was a hard worker and loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He loved woodworking and fur trapping, nature, telling stories, and was always busy with a project in his workshop and helping others. He was so proud to have just recently become a member of the Knights of Columbus. His main goal was to teach his grandchildren the love of God. Beloved husband of Cheryl (Nelson) for 41 years, father of their son Matt and Rob, Stephanie (Everett) Moran and Brent. The love of his life were his grandchildren Alexander and Gavin. Other grandchildren surviving are Keaton, Grayson, Katie and Braxton. Brother of Butch, Jeannie (Larry) Reese, Thomas, Sam (Linda) and the late Bill, Bert, Jim, Cathy and Mary; in-laws Bill Nelson, Jim Nelson, Sheila (Bob) North, and Michelle Hoffmann; and many nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gladwin on Thursday, June 7 at 12:00.
