Obituary for Alice Eckhart
Alice Eckhart Gladwin, Michigan Alice Eckhart 91 passed away peacefully at the Mid Michigan Medical Center Gladwin on Friday, February 17, 2012 following a brief illness. She was born in Lansing on November 19, 1920 to the late Assaph & Ella (Skussa) Baier and was a graduate of Eastern High School. She married Roland Eckhart and he preceded her in death. She was retired from Oldsmobile Corp., a former member of Colonial Village Baptist Church. Before moving to Gladwin she lived in the DeWitt area. Alice enjoyed bowling, flower arranging and working with her crafts & arts.She is survived by her sister in law & best friend Margurite (Marge) Baier and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Rolland and a brother Oscar Baier.Funeral services will be held Monday February 20, 2012 at 11 am from Emmanuel Baptist Church with Pastor Joseph Dorais presiding . Graveside services will be held Tuesday February 21, 2012 at 1 pm at Chapel Hill Cemetery, Lansing, Michigan. Friends may call at the Sisson Funeral Home 135 N M18 Gladwin, Michigan on Sunday from 2 to 8 pm. Monday Mrs. Eckhart will lie in state at church from 10 am until time of services.
