After a long illness Barbara Elaine McBride passed away on March 18, 2013, in Gladwin, Michigan. Barbara owned the Serendipity House Gift Store in Gladwin during the 1980s, where she also did silk flower arrangements and enjoyed interior decorating. Barbara deeply loved her family, was an avid reader, and cherished her Yorkshire Terriers through the year.
She is survived by daughter, Linda Zara of Gladwin; son, Wayne “Buzz” McBride of Colorado Springs, Colorado; and son-in-law, Dr. William (Denise) Wenzel of Baraboo, Wisconsin. Her grandchildren, Michele (Doannis) Pablos of Miami, Florida; Megan Zara of Austin, Texas; Charles (Cher) Falconberry of Sanford, Michigan; Lindsey (Jeremy) Muscanero and Tiffany (Samuel) Overlein both of Baraboo, Wisconsin; Eight great-grandchildren, Sophia and Matthew Pablos; Gavin Grakauskas, Garrett and Gage Falconberry; and Paxton, Elaina and Alicia Muscanero. She is preceded in death by her infant son; mother, Eleanor Traverse; daughter, Sally Wenzel; former husband, Wayne D. McBride; sister, Gail Osburn; and nephew, Stephen Middaugh. Honoring her wishes, cremation will take place. A family wake will be held in July 2013.
