Obituary for Bettie L. Edick
Bettie L. Edick Gladwin, Michigan On February 22, 2012 Bettie went to rest in the Memory of JEHOVA. Born Bettie Lou Vickers on July 21, 1928 in Clendenin, West Virginia to Shelton and Clella (Gandee) Vickers, they preceded her in death. Bettie was also proceded in death by her husband, Richard (Dick) Edick, her brothers Shelton Jr., Charles, George DeWayne, sisters Eleen and Gwendolyn, and a great granddaughter Breanna Ashley. Bettie is survived by two sons, Tim (Lavila) Edick and Kevin Edick of Gladwin. Three grandchildren Brett Edick of Midland, Troy (Leslie) Edick of Saginaw and Laura (Neal) Campbell of Greenville, TN. Six great grandchildren, Chad Williams of Gladwin, Ryan Williams, and Tesla Edick of Midland, Koty LaPorte, and Tristen and Trent Edick of Saginaw. One great, great grandchild, Lucas Turner of Midland. It was Bettie’s wish that there is to be no formal funeral and that any tributes made in her memory be made to the Gladwin Area Hospice and she asked to be remembered fondly by the following poem. I’d like the memory of me to be a happy one, I’d like to leave and afterglow of smiles when life is done. I’d like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways, Of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days. I’d like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun.
