Betty Jean Dee, age 85, of Glennie, MI, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday December 17, 2001. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on November 3, 1926 to the Roy & Hazel (Weir) Jolliffe. Betty Jean was made by God to sing and play a piano and a vibra-harp. She was a song leader at the Highland Park Baptist Church. She married David E. Dee and her life become one of a faithful pastor’s wife know as Mrs. David Dee and a loving mother. She was very supportive of her husband’s Baptist Minister at various churches in Clarkston, MI; Windsor, Ontario, McBain, MI; Alpena, MI and Curran, MI over the course of 55 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband Pastor David Dee and a Son-In-Law Pastor Ron Scott.Â
She is survived by her children, Pastor David (Karen) Dee of Glennie and Karen Scott of West Branch, MI. 3 Grandsons, Emerick (Janelle) Dee, Jerram (Kristen) Dee and Robert (Jessica) Scott. 7 great grandchildren, Connor, Piper, Brayden, David, Karah, Zachery and William.
The family wishes to express a special Thank You to Bortz Health Care of Rose City, MI, for the wonderful care that was given to their mother and grandmother.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at the Lott Baptist Church , 4257 S. State Rd. on M-65 in Glennie, MI with Pastor David R. Dee officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services. Interment will be in Glennie Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of David to the Christ Our Life Church in Curran, MI.
