Betty Louise Woodward Adams, 83, lovingly known to everyone as Nana Betty, passed peacefully March 18, 2015, at Northwoods Nursing Facility in Farwell, MI. Betty was born May 29, 1931, to the late JD and Edna Woodward. She lived in Farwell, MI and was a member of St. Cecilia Church in Clare for 38 years. Betty spent her life devoted to her faith, family and friends. She had an adventurous spirit, and she loved to travel, enjoyed Bluegrass music and liked to laugh. Her grandchildren will always fondly remember her delicious pancakes.
Left to cherish her memory are her children Kevin Halstead of Midland, MI., Kellye and husband Doug Bauer of Farwell, MI., and Kurt and wife Mary Halstead of Pleasant View, TN. Her cherished grandchildren include Courtney Gracon, Joshua Halstead, Dustin Bauer, Tyler Bauer, Travis Bauer, Amber Bateman, Kristopher Halstead, Haley Halstead, and great grandchildren Xander Halstead, Izaiah Halstead, Klhoe Halstead, and Casey Bowen. She is also survived by her brother Allen Woodward. A celebration of her life will be held at St. Cecilia Church in Clare, Michigan on Thursday, March 26, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Dinner to follow in the fellowship hall.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at Northwoods Nursing Facility for their care and support throughout Betty's extended stay.
