Mrs. Hospodar, 82 passed away Friday, December 9, 2011 at Brittany Manor of Midland following a lingering illness. She was born in Sherman Twp. on August 12, 1929 to the late Guy & Bertha (Cassiday) VanHorn. She married Ralph Hospodar on November 12, 1956. He preceded her in death on March 14, 1977. Betty was a Life Member of the Eastern Stars and attended the First United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Deb & Ralph Malosh of Beaverton, son, James Hospodar of Oklahoma, and daughter-in-law, Kimberly Hospodar of Midland ; grandchildren Allan, Nicholas & Angie, Alicia, Jason, Joel & Catlin, Adam & Monica, Brandon and Mellisa Hospodar, Rachael, Michael and Malynda Malosh ; great grand children Kayden Hospodar, Eliana Hospodar and Helena; a sister, Donna Banchoff; sister-in-law’s, Janice Hospodar and Johanna Nivison . She was predeceased by two sons, Robert (Bob) and Kevin Hospodar, two brother-in-law’, Steve & Ronald Hospodar and three sisters, Hilda Wandrie, Maggie Swanstra and Irene VanHorn
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 13, 2011, at 11 am at Sisson Funeral Home with Rev. Lyn Chappel presiding with burial in HIghland Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, December 12, 2011 from 1 pm to 8 pm and services on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at 11 am. with a luncheon immediately following at the Masonic Temple. Those wishing to express sympathy are asked to consider donations to the Eastern Stars of Gladwin, Michigan.
