Bruce William Mackie, age 62 went to be with his Lord and Savior on November 16, 2017. He was born on February 11, 1955 the son of Dr. William and Rachael (Sitts) Mackie. He was retired from the Department of Social Services, doing adoptions and adoption training for many years. Bruce has lived in Gladwin County for 11 years previously residing in Bay City. He had a love and commitment to Skeels Christian School, the New Dawn Homeless Shelter and Gladwin Free Methodist Church. He was united in marriage to his true love Cindy and together they have 17 children. He will be dearly missed by his only sister Brenda Ivory (Dallas) of Lake Orion, children Cheryl Martin (Michael), Tennessee, Analisa Charlton (Tom), Ohio, Kariann Cunningham (Chris), Illinois, Kadia Szenay, Texas, Nicole Mackie, Danielle Mackie, Angela Pratt (Josh), Micah Mackie, Gladwin, Logan Mackie, Midland, step children Jeffrey Husted, Washington, Kevin Husted, Ludington, Jillene Neely (Brian), Nevada, Joshua Husted, Auburn Hills, Robert Husted, Beaverton, Alicia Husted (Lucy), Kentucky, Jordan Husted, U.S. Army North Carolina, Jessica Husted-Mackie at home, 19 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, November 20, 2017 at Sisson Funeral Home with Pastor Philip Hortop officiating with burial in Glendale Cemetery, Lansing, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Sunday November 19, 2017 from 1:00 pm until 7:00 pm and on Monday beginning at 9:00 am until the time of service.
