Obituary for Charles "Kris" Krisfalusi
Charles "Kris" Krisfalusi
Sugar Springs / Gladwin

On November 11, 2016 - Veterans Day, Charles "Kris" Krisfalusi, who proudly served in the United States Air Force, passed away suddenly at his home. He was devoted to the love of his life, his wife Georgia and was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Kris was born in Detroit, Michigan graduating from Highland Park High School in 1949. Near the conclusion of high school, Kris met Georgia Marie Smith and married her just two years later on July 12.

Joining the Air Force in March 1951, the couple began their world tour of military travels, which took them to San Antonio, Texas; Ankara, Turkey; Alexandria, Virginia; Wiesbaden, Germany; Sacramento, California and then finally back to Virginia at the Pentagon in Arlington. During those years the couple raised four children.

He was an avid sports fan and loved watching all sports, but his passion was golf. For the past several years Kris enjoyed hosting the Annual Family Reunion and Golf Tournament during the Fourth of July week with the "Smith" side of the family. After this years' 34th Annual event, he raved that this was his favorite time of the year. The anticipation, the arrival of family, the tournament, the banter, and of course the food and drink; it was a special time that he loved and cherished.

Kris is survived by Georgia, his loving wife of 65 years, his children Charlie, Pamela (Jamie) Alan (Mark), and Alex. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Tyler (Juliana), Laura (Keith), Mitchell, Ethan, Danielle and his great-grandson Brenden.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at Sisson Funeral Home, 135 North Silverleaf Street, Gladwin, MI 48624. The immediate family will greet extended family and friends from 11am to 1pm, with memorial services beginning immediately afterward. Based on his wishes, Kris will be buried as a proud veteran at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia with a date to be determined. Those wishing an expression of sympathy are asked to consider. The American Heart Association or the Gladwin Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Gladwin, Michigan.
