Charlie “Wayne” Goode 79, passed away on Tuesday January 26, 2016 at his home with his family by his side following lingering illness. He was born on December 30, 1936 in Kennett, Missouri to the late Loyde C. and Perney "Naomi" (Tracer) Goode. On April 11, 1956 he married Beverly Blanchard in Flint and together they raised six children. Wayne is a member of the Operating Engineers Local #324, the Secord Lake Eagles #4121 and enjoyed playing golf, fishing hunting, watching stock car racing, spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.
Wayne is survived by his wife Beverly, children Sherry and Thomas Goode-Carmell, Pamela and Jason Pelushewski, Wayne and Sue Goode, John and Beth Goode, Kim Holtz, Brian and Dana Goode, 16 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 2 brothers JC Goode, Clemuel “Fib” and Shirley Goode and one sister Patty Lambert. He is predeceased by three brothers Floyd Goode, Lester Goode, Ronny Goode and one grandson Garrett Freeman.
In accordance with Wayne’s wishes cremation has taken place and a memorial service is being planned with inurnment in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery, Mt. Morris, Michigan.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Mt. Morris Church of Christ, 1262 South Street, Mt. Morris, MI 48458 with inurnment following at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery.
