Mr. Tuch age, 76 passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at Mid-Michigan Medical Center of Gladwin. He was born on July 31, 1940 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Lester & Stella (Burkacki) Tuch. He served his country in the United Stated Army during the Vietnam War building equipment and training men. He married a childhood classmate after returning from the service Gwendolyn Kenworthy on August 6, 1966 at St. Eugene’s Catholic Church in Detroit, Michigan. Dan was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church he served as president and several board positions on the Wiggins Lake Association and was also a member of the American Legion Post 0351. He worked as a journeyman pattern and model maker in the automotive industry for numerous years then worked as custodian for the Gladwin Community Schools until retirement. Dan enjoyed hunting and being on the lake but most of all spending time with his family and grandchildren. Surviving besides his wife of 50 years is their son Scott (Peggy Kemmis) Tuch, grandchildren; Jordan Tuch, Kristin Tuch, Tyler (Amanda) Wilk and Wesley (Brandy) Wilk and six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister and brother in law Blanche (George) Glasgow and several aunts and uncles.
Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, December 24, 2016 at 10 am from the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. J Marcel Portelli presiding with burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery with military funeral honors. Friends may call at the Sisson Funeral Home on Friday, from 4 to 8 pm. On Saturday, Daniel will lie in state at the church from 9 am until time of service.
