Mr. Wagar 85 passed away Friday November 11, 2011 at Gladwin Pines following a lingering illness. He was born in Gladwin on April 26, 1926 to the late Leon & Helen (Milligan) Wagar. He married the former Dorothy Lennon on December 6, 1947 at Gladwin Methodist Church, she survives him. He was a veteran of WW II surviving in the U. S. Army. He was a member Wagarville United Methodist, Gladwin Niters # 17, a lifetime of the Beaverton VFW and Masonic lodge 397 F&AM. DeVere was retired from the Continental Can Company of Midland.
Surviving besides his wife of 53 years are their children Douglas & Rose Wagar, Timothy Wagar DeAnn & Daniel Henrichsen; 3 grand children Aali, Nicholas and Carly. He was preceded in death by his son Dennis Wagar in 1979.
Funeral Services will be held Monday November 14, 2011 at 11am from Sisson Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Simon presiding with burial in McClure Cemetery with Military Honors. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 2 to 8 pm and Monday from 10 am until time of services. A Masonic Memorial service will be held at 7 pm Sunday evening at the funeral home. Those wishing an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Wagarville United Methodist Church or the Beaverton VFW Post.
