Mrs. Johnson 75 passed away Friday morning September 20, 2013 with her family at her side at MidMichigan Medical Center following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Whipple, West Virginia to the late Tony & Sidionia (Gallardo) Neira. She married Richard Johnson Sr. on February 26, 1960 in Pontiac. He preceded her in death in 2000. She was a graduate from Henry Ford Hospital-School of Nursing and retired from MidMichigan Medical Center- Gladwin. She was a member of the Gladwin County Women’s Club and MidMichigan Medical Center-Gladwin Auxiliary. Dolores enjoyed socializing, golfing and traveling with friends and family but specially spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by two sons Richard Jr. & Melissa Johnson and David B. & Jennifer Johnson; grandchildren Keagan, Meredith, Caden and Mallory Johnson; brother Nick & Yolanda Neira; a sister Antoinette Hicks, also many special and dear friends. She was preceded in death by a son Michael Johnson in 1981.
Funeral services will be held Sunday September 22, 2013 at 4 pm from Sisson Funeral Home with Pastor David Sprang presiding with burial in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 1 to 4 pm. Those wishing an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the MidMichigan Medical Center –Gladwin Auxiliary or the American Cancer Society.
