Donald “Don” A. Ford
Alger, Michigan
Mr. Ford 70 passed away on Tuesday March 28, 2017 at his home following a lingering illness. He was born on October 22, 1946 in Wyandotte, Michigan to the late George & Helen (Morkin) Ford.
He married the former Carolyn J. Flaishans on December 16, 1972 in Riverview, Michigan, she survives him. Don served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was retired from Ford Motor Brownstown Plant, moved to the Gladwin area to enjoy the out of doors and his woodworking.
He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years and their two children Paul & Allison Ford and Shannon & Jason Steffes, 5 grandchildren and siblings Jerry & Mary Ford, Mike Ford, Jan & Nick Cole, Lorie & Tim Merker, Patrice Lehmann and Kay & Tom Hondzinski.
Honoring Don’s wishes cremation will take place and a service at a later date. Those wishing an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Hospice of Helping Hands of West Branch in Don’s memory.
