Mr. Murdick 94 passed away Thursday January 3, 2013 at his home with his family at his side following a brief illness. He was born in Vassar, Michigan to the late Wm Harry & Eva (Bogart) Murdick on November 13, 1918. Don was retired from Ford Motor and retired in the Gladwin area in 1997 and attended the Gladwin Free Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife Gaila (Stockhill) Murdick, his children Brenda & Dale Murdick-Benner, Dianne & Phil Wills, Mona McBurny, Mike Sanback and Alissa; a sister Ersel & Tom Hart; 17 grand children & several great grandchildren. He was preceeded in death by a son Donnie Murdick and a daughter Rosemary Standfest; brothers and sisters Carl Murdick, Elwood Murdick, Ardis Murdick, Ilene Hewitt and Doris Willsie.
Funeral Services will be held Sunday January 6, 2013 at 2 pm from Sisson Funeral Home with Pastor Phillip Hortop presiding with inurnment at Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 2 to 5 pm and Sunday Noon until time of services. Those wishing an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Hospice of Mid-Michigan or the Gladwin Free Methodist Church.
