Donald “Don” R. Reynolds

Mr. Reynolds 79 passed away Tuesday November 19, 2013 at his home following a battle with Leukemia. He was born in Sylvania, Ohio on June 26, 1934 to the late Arthur & Hazel (Walters) Reynolds. He married the former Barbara J. Clark on October 23, 1954 at Sheldon United Methodist Church in Belleville. She survives him. Don & Barb lived in Ypsilanti and worked at the Clark Block & Supply Co. in Canton before moving to Gladwin. He enjoyed golfing & bowling and was active in boy scouting with his sons. His greatest joy was his children and grandchildren to which he gave a teddy bear when they were born.
Surviving besides his wife of 59 years are their children Dr. Douglas R. Reynolds of Belleville, Kathy & John Blauvelt of Hebron, Kentucky and Joseph A. & Debra Reynolds of Ypsilanti; 9 grandchildren Ryan Reynolds, Adam Blauvelt, Daniel Reynolds, Beth Blauvelt, Matthew Reynolds, Luke Blauvelt, Stephanie Reynolds, Joy Reynolds and Thomas Reynolds; 6 great grandchildren Alissa Reynolds, Kara Reynolds, Hanna Blauvelt, Carter Reynolds, Cody Reynolds and Sophia Blauvelt; Brother and sisters Maxine Hammond, Doris & William Himes and James & Thelma Reynolds. He was preceded in death by a sister Margaret Cloyd and a brother in law Harley Hammond.
Funeral services will be held Saturday November 23, 2013 at 12 noon from the Sisson Funeral Home with Pastor Lynn Chapell officiating. Inurnment will take place at Washtenong Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 am until time of services. Those wishing an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Leukemia Foundation.
