Mrs. Cady 88 passed away Tuesday April 24, 2012 at the Gladwin Pines following a lingering illness. She was born in Fenwick on May 27, 1923 to the last Albert & Lauria (Sessions) Warne. She married Nason Cady on August 10, 1946 in her parent’s yard at Fenwick, Michigan. He preceded her in death in October of 1989. She was a retired teacher from the Gladwin Area Schools, Beaverton Schools and the Meridian School districts. Dorothy was the MSU Extension Services agent for Clare & Gladwin Counties and a very active member of the Eastern Star –Cloverleaf Chapter.
She is survived by a son Robert & Shirley Cady of Midland and a daughter Priscilla Hackett of Gladwin; 4 grand children David & Elizabeth Hackett, Paul & Sophia Hackett, Rod & Stacey Cady and Kristina & Joel Tirey; 7 great grandchildren; and a sister in law Maureen Cady.
Funeral and an Eastern Star Memorial Services will be held Friday April 27, 2012 at 7 pm from the Sisson Funeral Home with Pastor Tony Reynolds presiding with burial in the Coleman Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 pm and 6 pm until time of service. Those wishing an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Family's Wishes.
