Obituary for Dorothy M. Maxson
Dorothy M. Maxson, age 80, of Gladwin, MI, passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2011 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born October 8, 1930 in Detroit, MI, the daughter of the late Elmer and Anna Jane (Oliver) Murry.
Dorothy loved spending time with her family, friends and special friends, Fran Storm and Margo Vuchetich. She enjoyed going to the casino’s, Bingo, bus trips and she was an avid reader.
She was preceded in death by her Husband Richard Maxson, Son Billy, Grandson Michael and Brother Elmer.
She is survived by her children, Linda (Raymond) Chaney of Taylor, MI; Paul (Kandy) Maxson of Beaverton, MI; Chuck (Judy) Maxson of Gladwin, MI; Mildred Watts of Beaverton, MI; Mike (Lori) Maxson of Fla. And Chris (Lauren) Maxson of Fla. 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Brothers, John (Sandi) Murry of Canton, MI; Robert Murry of Gladwin, MI and David (Karen) Murry of Fla. Sisters, Jean Horen of Detroit, MI; Carol Nanney of Bay City, MI; Shirley Vieceli of Sterling Heights, MI and Sandy Murry of Sterling Heights, MI. Sister in Law, Mildren McGrath of Royal Oak, MI.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Gladwin, MI, with Rev. Fr. John Cotter as Celebrant. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 from 2-8 PM at the Sisson Funeral Home and again on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services at church. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions may be made in memory of Dorothy to the family, for a charity to be decided at a later date.
