Mr. Bunton 84 passed away Thursday October 24, 2013 at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, MD following a brief illness. He was born in Pontiac on June 3, 1929 to the late James & Lula (Atkins) Bunton. He graduated from Auburn Heights High School in 1947.
He served his country in the U.S. Army for 23 years and retired in 1975. During retirement he lived in Arkansas, Gladwin Michigan and then moved to the Armed Forces Retirement Home in Washington DC in 2006.
He is survived by his sister-in-laws Anita Bunton and Betty Bunton & the following nieces and nephews Elizabeth (Bill) Utley, Janet (Jimmy) Coley, Norman Bunton, Terry Bunton, Rick (Deb) Bunton, Cathy Bunton, Brenda (Don) Baarman, and Brian Bunton along with several great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his 2 brothers James Bunton and Norman Bunton
Funeral Services will be held Saturday November 2, 2013 at 1 pm from Sisson Funeral Home with Pastor Timothy Lambert presiding. Burial with military honors will be in McClure Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 am until time of services.Â
