Obituary for Elizabeth M. Houser
Elizabeth Margaret Houser, Our loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed peacefully into the loving arms of Jesus Christ just short of her 96th birthday. Elizabeth was born in Germany to Margarette and Otto K. Neuman on June 17, 1921. She immigrated to this country in October 1924 with her parents. She lived in Flint Michigan all her life until Alzheimer’s disease began to take her from us.
All her life she was active in Saint Paul Lutheran Church. She was a member for over 80 years, having been confirmed in 1933. April 12, 1946 she married Clifford R. Houser and together they ran Houser Plumbing and Heating for over 50 years. She graduated with a degree in accounting.
Elizabeth is survived by her sons Clifford R. Houser (Jeanette) (West Branch-Gladwin) and James C. Houser (Marlene), Montrose. She enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren showing them the same love and concern she reserved for all. She was predeceased by her husband Clifford F. Houser and one brother, Hans Neuman.
The family wishes to thank Heavenly Homestead Assisted Living in Gladwin for their loving care for her final years. Those wishing to express sympathy are requested to provide a memorial to the The Alzheimer’s Foundation or St. Paul Lutheran Church, Flint, MI. Arrangements are entrusted to Sisson Funeral Home.
