Mr. Meyer 85 passed away Saturday December 1, 2012 at Mid-Michigan Gladwin Pines following a brief illness. He was born in Langdon, North Dakota to the late Harry P. & Mabel (Groven) Meyer. He met the former Connie A. Walther at the Vassar Roller Rink and they were married on August 30, 1952 in Vassar, she survives him. He was retired from Allside supply Company. Elmo was a member of the Welfare 517 Masonic Lodge of Flint and a founding member of the Elf Khurafeh- Shiners Mini-Car Unit for 40 years. His first love was cars. He enjoyed bowling and in his earlier years he really enjoyed roller skating and being around people, the out of doors and watching the wonders of nature.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, 2 daughter Mary Lou & Bob Rau and Ann Marie & Dennis Rau; 2 grand children Courtney & Nickolas Rau; 2 great grand children Morgan & Tyler Rau. He was predeceased by his best friends Bob and Georgia Tabbert.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 pm from the Sisson Funeral Home with the Masonic Memorial Rite under the auspices of the Masonic Lodge 517. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10 am until time of services at 2 pm. Those wishing an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the wishes of the family.
