Our dear and loving mother grandma & great grandma surrounded by her family left this world on Wednesday December 23, 2015 to be with her Lord and Savior. She was born in Sage Township on April 17, 1928 to the late Francis Dewey & Inez (Molesworth) Bruner. She married Glenden Murray on September 18, 1946 in Gladwin. He preceded her in death on October 20, 1994. She lived in Gladwin County her whole life until she moved into The Fountain of Love Assisted Living. She loved it there and they loved her. She received the best care, and with hospice the excellent care continued in her last days. Elpha loved her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed country life, gardening, flowers, camping, fishing, playing cards & games, bird watching and just being with her family.
She is survived by a son Jim & Carla Murray of Gladwin, 3 daughters Linda Murray of Bay City, Judy & Russell Allen of Clare and Jean & Ernest Carr of Elsie; 10 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 1 brother Lawrence & Jeanene Bruner of Webberville; 2 sisters Joyce & Norman Shipley of Vestaburg and Frances Day of Gladwin; a sister in law Pat Bruner, also many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter JoAnn Murray; 3 sisters Vera Grove, Florence Ridley (Rhines) and Nancy Mills; 3 brothers Charles, Robert & George Bruner.
Funeral Services will be held Monday December 28, 2015 at 11 am from Sisson Funeral Home with Pastor Roger Day officiating with burial in Ridge Cemetery. The family will greet friends on Sunday from 2 pm to 8 pm and Monday 10 am until time of services. Those wishing an expression of sympathy are asked to consider American Hospice of Gladwin, Cancer Society and the Diabetes Foundation.
