Obituary for Emily A. McKenna
Emily A. McKenna, age 93, of Gladwin, MI, passed away on Wednesday, July 07, 2010 at the Mid-Michigan Medical Center-Gladwin with her family by her side.  She was born April 30, 1917 in Monroe, MI, the daughter of the late Thomas and Gertrude (Giermann) Miller.
Emily was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels for many years. She enjoyed quilting, sewing and spending time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth McKenna in 1995, Daughter Linda Clarke, Grandson Brian and a son in law Gary Clarke.
She is survived by her children, Robert (Polly) McKenna of Gladwin, MI; Margaret (Jack) Plude of Gladwin, MI and Jesse (Joyce) McKenna of Gladwin, MI. 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. 2 sisters; Fran Debner of Lansing, MI and Lucille Combs of West Branch, MI. Sister in law Doris Smith of West Branch, MI.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. John Cotter officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 9, 2010 from 2-8 P.M. at the Sisson Funeral Home and again on Saturday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of services. A scripture service will be held on Friday at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in West Branch, MI.
