Loving mother and grandmother passed away peacefully on her 86 th birthday Saturday August 27, 2016 at her home with her family at her side. She was born in Bremen, Kentucky on August 27, 1930 to the late Bernard Hall & Mada Lee Phillips. Emma worked and owned several small businesses in the Gladwin area and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was an avid Detroit Tigers fan, a member of the Michigan Bowlers Hall of Fame, enjoyed the Marathon Coffee group, cooking, knitting and crocheting. Emma loved being with her children, grand children and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her children Roy & Deb Kinkela, Lou Kinkela, Pamela & Randy Mayfield and Rick & Bunny Kinkela; grandchildren Stacy Moyer, Laura (Jeremy) Gehrman, Jessica Mayfield, Jamie Morris, Amber Kinkela, Nick Kinkela, Sherry Book, David Book, Hannah (Justin) Book, Shawn Kinkela, Shane Kinkela, and Shadd Kinkela; 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her step father Milan Kinkela, and her husband Frank Auer.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday August 31, 2016 at 11 am from Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. J. Marcel Portelli presiding with burial in Grout Township Cemetery. Family will greet friends and family on Tuesday from 1 to 8 pm at the Sisson Funeral Home. On Wednesday at the Church from 10 am until time of Mass. Those wishing an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Gladwin Hospice.
