Evelyn age, 81 loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister passed away Monday, March 31, 2014 at Horizons Senior Living in Gladwin, Michigan following a lingering illness. She was born in Gladwin Township to the late Roscoe & Hazel (Hiltz) Koontz. She married Lyle March 24, 1951 in Gladwin, Michigan. He predeceased her on June 29, 1998. She was a member of the Wagarville Community United Methodist Church, the National Women’s Banking Association and the National Camping and Hiking Association. Evelyn enjoyed camping, gardening, playing piano but most of all spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband Paul Wooley, and her children; Randy (Susan) McIntosh, Rodney (Kathy) McIntosh, Robyn (Altamer) Sherman, son in law William Hall, sister, Sharon (Ken) Erstad, a brother Roscoe Jr. (Carolyn) Koontz , brother in law Elmer Kerblewski, 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild with one on the way. She was predeceased by a husband, a daughter Roseyn Hall and her sister Onalee Kerblewski.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, April 4, 2014 at 11 am from the Wagarville Community United Methodist Church with Pastors Dennis Paulson and Pastor Rod Reid presiding with burial in McClure Cemetery. Friends may call at the Sisson Funeral Home on Thursday from 1 to 9 pm. On Friday, Evelyn will lie in state from 10 am until time of service. The family would like to extend a heartfelt Thank You to the Horizons Senior Living and Hospice for the compassionate care Evelyn and her family received.
