Mr Moore 93 passed away Saturday August 31, 2013 at his home with his family at his side following a battle with cancer. He was born in Kingsville, Canada on October 8, 1919 to the late Herbert H. & Sarah Ann (Sellick) Moore. He married the former Dorothy Kurowski on October 6, 1945 in Birmingham, Michigan. She preceded him in death on March 8, 2006. Francis served his country in the U. S. Army during WW II. He was retired teamster and employee of the Dillman & Upton Lumberyard and a former volunteer firefighter of Shelby Township. He will be remembered as the neighborhood handyman and an excellent wood worker.
He is survived by his children Francis T. Moore Jr., Susan K. (Dennis)Â Frase, Richard P. & Cheryl Moore, Saramarie R. & Ron Kinel and Carol F. & Doug Pike; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; a sister Olive Main. He was predeceased by a brother Herbert O. Moore.
A Celebration of his life will be held Sunday September 8, 2013 at 1:30 pm the Albright Eagles Hall and military honors will be held October 8, 2013 at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Troy, Michigan. Arrangements were entrusted to Sisson Funeral Home.
