Mr Oblinsky 80 passed away Sunday July 26, 2015 at his home with his family at his side following a lingering illness. He was born in Ernest, PA on July 20, 1935 to the late Frank Sr. and Mary (Rolka) Oblinsky. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in U.S. Marines. He married the former Nancy M. Forsyth on August 1, 1992 in Walled Lake, Michigan, she survives him. Frank worked in the several auto services companies before retiring to Harrison. He enjoyed watching, playing sports of any kind, hunting and especially fishing.
He is survived by children and step children Frank III & Jennifer Oblinsky of VA, Mark & MaryJo Oblinsky of NC, Jeff & Sue Oblinsky of Traverse City,Bryan & Karen Oblinsky of Mesich, Cindy & Matt Arquette of South Lyon, Dan & Van Thifault of GA and Tim Thifault of TX; 19 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren; 2 brothers Jack & Janet Oblinsky of Gladwin and Bob & Nancy Oblinsky of PA and 1 sister Bonnie Oblinsky of PA. He was preceded in death by a son Rodney Oblinsky in 2010.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday July 29, 2015 at 3 pm at Sisson Funeral Home. Committal service with military honors will be Thursday July 30, 2015 at 10:30 am at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Family will receive friends and family at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1 to 8 pm.
