Mrs. Allen, 89 passed away Tuesday January 15, 2013 at her home with her family at her side following a brief illness. She was born in Rochester, Michigan on September 7, 1922 to the late Joseph & Lola (Plake) Andersen. She married Richard Allen in Ohio on May 20, 1950, he survives her. They moved here from Kentucky in 1989 and she enjoyed golfing and reading.
Surviving besides her husband of 62 years is a daughter Glenna Jo Blake of California and a grandson Michael Shawn Abbott. She was predeceased by a daughter Marcella Marie Abbott; and a brother Robert Andersen; sisters Margie Graves and Mabel Kemler; and half sisters Dorothy Gresko and Ruth Gere.
In honoring Freda’s wishes cremation has taken place and inurnment will take place at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Sisson Funeral Home.
