Gloria 88 passed away Sunday June 15, 2014 at Rockwell Memory Care, Fenton, Michigan following a lingering illness. She was born In Flint on October 12, 1925 to the late Joseph & Margaret (Perriot) Taylor. She married Robert J. Brewer on August 13, 1945 in Flint. They lived in Flint until 982 when they moved back to Gladwin in 1982 after Bob retired. He preceded her in death on December 17, 2006. Gloria was a devoted mother and wife caring for the family and home. She enjoyed sewing, adding to her doll collection, working in her flowers & garden, sewing doll clothing and any other needed items. She was a member of the Gladwin Seventh Day Adventist Church.
She is survived by her children Mike & Linda Brewer, Jack & Diane Brewer and Joann & Larry Barnes all of Flint; grandchildren Robert, Kimberly, Jason, Brent, Jamie, Marie, Bruce Stacy and Cory; 19 great grandchildren; a sister Vivian Anderson. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers Ronald & Andrew Taylor and a sister Vickie Hartwell.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday June 25, 2014 at 1 pm from the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 342 W. Curtis Rd., Edenville, Michigan with Tony Ludwig and Jeff Akenberger presiding. Family will greet friends at the church from 10 am Wednesday until time of services with burial in Edenville Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Sisson Funeral Home.
