Mr. Plauman 87 passed away peacefully Saturday October 5, 2013 at MidMichigan Gladwin Pines following a lingering illness. He was born in Armada, Michigan to the Late Harold Sr. & Mildred E. (Simmons) Plauman. He served his country in the U. S. Navy and attended Wayne State College of Pharmacy. He married the former Barbara G. Heinisch on June 24, 1950 in Grosse Ile, Michigan. They owned and operated Class Pharmacy in Clawson and worked for K-Mart Pharmacy in Rochester, Mi. Harold serviced as a Captian on the Clawson Fire Department, a member of the Masonic Lodge, a 32nd Degree Mason, the Elks Club and the Moose Lodge.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years and their children Elizabeth Jane (Thomas) Lee, Harold II “Chip” Plauman and Kurt Allan Plauman; 8 grandchildren and 12 great grand children.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday October 9, 2013 at 2 pm from Sisson Funeral Home with Rev. Karen Blatt presiding with inurnment in White Chapel Memorial Park, Troy, Michigan. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1 to 8 pm and Wednesday 11 to 2 pm. A Masonic Lodge memorial Service will be held at 5 pm Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Those wishing an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Alzheimer Association or charity of Choice.
