Mr. Zeitz 84 passed away Tuesday September 30, 2014 with his family at his side at Horizon Senior Living-Gladwin following a brief illness. He was born in Gladwin on February 28, 1930 to the late Leonard & Emma (Doede) Zeitz. He served during the Korean War in the U. S. Army. He married the former Norma Patzer on May 10, 1952 in Detroit, Michigan. She preceded him in death on May 24,2009. Herb was retired from Saginaw Steering Gear-Delphi in 1992. He enjoyed deer hunting and buying & selling things.
He is survived by his children Mark & Nancy Zeitz, Charles & Penny Zeitz and Sheryl Schultz; 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son Gary, a grandson Matthew Schultz, and brothers & sisters Ed & Reinold Zeitz, Vi Sullivan, Eleanor Kovacs, Edna Landenburger, Ruth Abbott and Elsie Zeitz.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday October 4, 2014 at 11 am from the Sisson Funeral Home with Mr. Norman Peck presiding with burial in McClure Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 2 pm to 8 pm and Saturday 10 am until time of services. Those wishing an expression of sympathy are asked to concern the American Cancer Society.
