Iva Yeager 93 of Gladwin passed away December 5, 2012 at Gladwin Mid-Michigan Pines Nursing Home after a long illness. She was born February 10, 1919 to the late William and LaVina (Cripps) Ockerman. She married Alvin Yeager June 1, 1935 in Gladwin, Michigan. He preceded her in death June 2, 1984. She lived at Hockaday, Michigan most of her life. Iva was employed in the late years at Sugar Springs. She was a member of Hockaday Community Church. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and baking for her family. She is survived by two sons Don (Marilyn) Yeager of Coleman and Jerry (Gwen) Yeager of Weeki Wachee, Florida, 14 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 21 great great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband Alvin, her parents, daughter Margaret Myers, four brothers and 2 sisters.
In honor of her wishes cremation will take place and a memorial service will take place at a later date with Pastor Winston King of Hockaday Community Church officiating. Those wishing an expression of Sympathy are asked to consider Hockaday Community Church. Arrangements are entrusted to Sisson Funeral Home.
