Obituary for Iva June Sherman
Gladwin, Michigan

She was born June 6, 1918 to Altamer and Nona (Poland) Cuddie of Gladwin; she attended Podunk and Gladwin High School. She had a wonderful childhood and often told us stories of her youth.  She met Otto Sherman at a youth gathering at Zion (Oberlin) Lutheran Church and School, Gladwin County. They were married on November 23, 1935 at Zion. They moved to the farm on Arnold Lake Road and raised dairy cattle. Otto and Iva had 66 years together and raised four children:  Donald (Barb) Sherman, Augusta (Ed) Etelamaki, Martin Sherman and Alt (Robyn) Sherman. Otto preceded her in death in 2001.
They were also blessed with 11 grandchildren: Debbie (Ron) Tripp, Sandy (Jack) Wark, Eddie (Sue) Etelamaki, Karen (Mark)  Ochsankehl, Diana Mansfield, Julie (Steve) Zahm, Martin  (Debra) Sherman, Laura Sherman, Dawn Sherman, Tarah (Greg) Genaw, Monica (Josh) Stall.  She also had 23 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren. She often said she just gets greater and greater with all these children.
In addition to Otto she was preceded in death by her sisters, Irene (Roy) Linton, Morea (Victor) Foutch and one brother Clare Cuddie.
