Mr. Davis 82 passed away Saturday November 19, 2011 at his home with his family at his side following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on September 24, 1929 in Grout Twp on the family farm to the late Fred & Faye (Roberts) Davis. Jack stayed at the homestead and farmed until his retirement and was a former member of the Wolverine Hunting Club. He enjoyed being with his family, hunting, fishing, trapping and his camping trips.
He is survived by his wife the former Darlene Fillmore, whom he married March 17, 1979 at Hope United Methodist Church. His children Pamela & Thomas Lyons, Mickie & Roy Bruner, Kevin & Marsha Davis, Rebecca McKay, Max Edmonds, and Shirley & Timothy Burrill; 13 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren; brother and sisters Avrill Jean Humpke, Keith Davis and Vilroye Meyer. He was predeceased by his wife Edna (Klein) Davis in 1974,a son Leslie Davis, 2 brothers Ray Davis and Guy Hillman.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday November 23, 2011 at 1 pm from the Sisson Funeral Home with Rev. Patrick Poag presiding with burial in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1 to 8 pm and Wednesday from 11 am until time of services. Those wishing and expression of sympathy are asked to consider the family's wishes.
