Obituary for James E. Knight
James Edward Knight-80-passed away June 5, 2018. He was born August 3,1937. Raised in Houghton Lake, he graduated from Houghton Lake H.S. and worked at the old music box as a teenager. He then served in the U.S. Army as a medic. He retired from Michigan Bell as a splicer and foreman after thirty years of service. He then worked as a engineer and inspector for fiber optic cable installation in various states. He owned and operated Hunters Paradise in Meredith with his wife Joan. He will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by parents Edward and Wilma (Haywood), wife Joan Knight, brother Norman Knight. He is survived by sisters Maxine Natalia of North Carolina and Mary Alice Leich of Rhode Island. Sons, Steve (Barbara) Knight of New Oxford, Pennsylvania, Jeff (Leslie) Knight of Titusville, Florida and daughter Sandee (Tom Trouten) Knight of Sanford, Michigan. Honoring Jim's wishes cremation will take place and inurnment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery West Branch, Michigan.
