Mr. Cronk 74 passed away suddenly Thursday December 27, 2012 at his home following a lingering illness. He was born in Gladwin on February 5, 1938 to the late Ernest & Viola (Merkle) Cronk. He married the former LeeAnn Boman on March 21, 1959 in Gladwin, she survives him. Jim was a lifetime resident of the Secord Lake area and owned & operated the Lakeshore Storage & Excavating Co. He was retired from the Teamsters and a member of the Big Boys Club.
Surviving besides his wife of 53 years are their children Amy Jo & Thomas Schmidt, Thomas James Cronk, Susan Lee (Fred Leeck) Brown and Jodi Ann (Chris Wiggins) Cronk; 9 grand children Joleen, Jason, Jessica, Steven, T J, Misty, Angela, David and Tonya; 9 great grand children; 2 sisters Barbara Sischo and Ruth Foutch; a sister in law Roseann Cronk; his mother in law Esther Rumminger and several nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Robert Cronk.
Funeral Services will be held Sunday December 30, 2012 at 1 pm from the Sisson Funeral Home with Pastor James Beck presiding with burial in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call at the Funeral Home on Saturday from 1 to 8 pm and Sunday 11 am until time of services.
