Janis Ruth Holly

Mrs. Holly age 80, loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister passed away Sunday, February 4, 2018 at her home with her loving family by her side. She was born in Gladwin County on April 3, 1937 to the late Alvin & Dorothy (Ballard) Shearer. She married Lyle on June 27, 1959 in Muskegon, Michigan. Janis was a member of the Free Methodist Church she has lived in Muskegon and Sturgis but has been in Gladwin for most of her life. She is survived by her husband of 58 years and their children; Craig Holly, Jeffrey (Joni) Holly and Brian (Judy) Holly, six grandchildren and five great grandchildren, three sisters Jean Hill, Lois (Fred)Wilson and Carol (John) Ostergren.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at the Free Methodist Church at 11 am with Pastor Phil Hortop presiding with inurnment in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call at the Sisson Funeral Home on Tuesday from 3 to 8 pm. On Wednesday Janis will lie in state at the church from 10 am until time of service.
