Jannette “Patsy” Anderson-Thurston

Jannette 66 passed away Saturday July 16, 2016 at Medilodge of Clare following a courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis. She was born in Gladwin to the late William & Rose (Bessey) Anderson on October 12, 1949. Patsy worked for the Department of Agriculture in the Standish Office as a loan officer. She was a member of Sacred Heart Parish, the Gladwin Red Hats and OES White Clover Chapter 84. She was devoted to her family and especially her children and grand children.
Surviving her are 2 daughter Tonda & Chris Cole and Dawn & Noel Harrison; grandchildren Gary Allan, Kaden Andrew, Cooper Donald, Haleigh, Cayla and Sarah; a brother Jim & Karen Anderson; a sister Barbara & Booth Browne and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son Allan Thurston in 1981. Patsy’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Medilodge of Clare for the care and comfort given to her during the time she was with them
Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday July 20, 2016 at 9 am from Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Re. Fr. J. Marcel Portelli presiding with burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2 to 8 pm at the Sisson Funeral Home and an OES Memorial service will be held at 7 pm Tuesday evening. On Wednesday Patsy will lie in state at the church from 8 am until time of Mass. Those wishing an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Multiple Sclerosis Society
