Mrs. Anderson 82 passed away Thursday July 24, 2014 at her home with her loving family at her side following a lingering illness. She was born in Gladwin on December 28, 1931 to the late Christopher & Leone (VanValkenberg) Hoffman She married Thomas Anderson on September 13, 1952 in Gladwin, he survives her. She was retired from Gladwin Hospital where she worked as a nurse’s aide for many years and a member of the Assembly of God Church of Harrison. She enjoyed being with her family and grandchildren, quilting, gardening and working in her flowers, fishing and traveling with her friends.
Surviving besides her husband of 61 years are their children Thomas Anderson, David & Jill Anderson and Julie Anderson; Grand children Neil & Melinda, Jamie & Jason, Krista & Trent, Erica & mike, Jason & Janelle and Chelsea; 6 great grand children; her twin brother Jean & Jackie Hoffman. She was preceded in death by brothers Wilbur and Louis Hoffman; sisters Lois Page, Ruth Wesley and Doris Blank.
Funeral services will be held Saturday July 26, 2014 at 11 am from Sisson Funeral Home with Pastor Dennis Firestein with burial in Grout Township Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 9 am until time of services.
