Jerome Laurence Sheridan, 77 passed away Sunday December 25, 2016 at the Midland Medical Center following ongoing health complications. Jerome was born in Croswell, MI. to the late Leo & Theresa (Mullen) Sheridan and was a devoted husband to Janice Lynn Sheridan of 45 years.
Honorably served his country in the United States Army in the 9th Calvary stationed at Ft. Carson Colorado. He obtained his licenses to become a barber in his early twenties. After some years as an established barber he went on to own and operate several barber shops and various commercial businesses throughout the Detroit metropolitan area. He was an active member of the Novi Rotary Club and was recognized and awarded the Paul Harris Fellow Award for his long ongoing contributions as a Rotarian. Jerome Sheridan was well known in his community to support and donate to the Novi Parks & Rec and other community organizations. As an avid golfer, he played on many golf leagues over the years but his favorite course was Pebble Creek in South Lyon, MI. He found solitude at his lake property in Sugar Springs while enjoying spending time with his friends and family. Jerome was most proud of his family & grandchildren always talking about them and sharing pictures of them.
He is survived by his wife Janice and son Jeremy Sheridan, Leo Sheridan, Kevin Sheridan and daughter Carrie Sheridan Price. Son in law Tracy Price. Grandchildren Jeremy, Tyler and Dylan, Logan, Sophia and Colin. He was proceeded in death by brothers John Sheridan, Joseph Sheridan, James Sheridan and sisters Helen Burns, Isabel Ciochon, Anne Levitt and Jane Churches.
Funeral services will be held Thursday December 29, 2016 at 3 pm at the Sisson Funeral Home 135 N. Silverleaf St. (north M-18) with cremation to follow at Sunset Valley Crematory. The family will be present at the funeral home on Thursday from 12 to 3 pm to greet friends and family. followed by a luncheon at the Riverwalk Grill at 777 W Cedar Ave in Gladwin, MI.
