Mr. Brush 81 passed away Thursday May 14, 2015 at his home following a lingering illness with his family at his side. He was born in Saginaw on July 8, 1933 to the late Clifford & Eva (Burgess) Brush. Graduated from Arthur Hill High School. Served his country in the U. S. Marines from 1951 to 1954 in the Korean War. He married his high school sweetheart Barbara Stowell on February 21, 1953, she survives him. They settled in Ann Arbor in 1965 and the retired to Gladwin in 2000. Jerry worked at Buhr Machine as a foreman and eventually bought the Dexter Bowl-Bar in 1984 where he made many great friends through the years. He loved spending time with his family and friends. In his younger years he loved fast pitch softball and bowling. In his later years loved fishing with his grandkids & great grandkids, reading and bird watching with his wife.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years and their children William (Suzanne), Linda (Jim), Jerry Jr. (Wendy) and Robert (Judy); 13 grandchildren 17 due to be 18 Great Grandchildren; sisters Eva Pahl and Janet (Don) Emeott and a brother Darrel Brush and many Nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his siblings Betty, Bonnie, Vivian, William, Virgil, James and daughter in law Suzanne.
A Celebration of Life will be held with family and friends at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Sisson Funeral Home, Gladwin, Michigan.
