Obituary for Joann J. Schriber
Joann J. Schriber, age 69, of Beaverton, MI, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 4, 2011 at her home. She was born June 8, 1942 in Boyne Falls, MI the daughter of the late Joseph Malik and Martha (Skope) Malik and John Nowak.
On June 27, 1964 she married Frederick (Nelson) Schriber in Gaylord, MI. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, homemaking and gardening. Also when you were hugged by Joann you knew that you had been hugged.
She is survived by her husband Nelson Schriber of Beaverton, MI; children, Shawn (Daniel) Chamberlain of Clarkston, MI; Cynthia (John) Little of Plainfield, IN; Mary Jo (Jim) Thompson of Wayland, MI and F. John (Melissa) Schriber of Sandusky, MI. 8 grandchildren,  Ashley M., Melissa D., Amanda L. , Trevor D. Chamberlain, Andrew N., Mykala R. Kinnunen and John N., Christine M. Schriber.  Brothers and Sisters, Rita VanGorder of Grand Rapids, MI; Joe (Cea) Nowak of Lewiston, MI; Sister Monica Nowak of Clark Summit, PA; Lawrence (Sue) Nowak of Gaylord, MI; Ron (Sally) Nowak of Gaylord, MI; Robert (Sandy) Nowak of Gaylord, MI and Christina (Jeff) DeHaan of Rockford, MI.
In accordance with Joann’s wishes cremation has taken place. There will be a Memorial Service held at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to the Sisson Funeral Home, Gladwin.
