Obituary for Joyner "Joe" Jay Gleason
Joyner “Joe” Jay Gleason age 83 of Beaverton passed away unexpectedly Friday February 8, 2019 at his home. He was born in Bad Axe, Michigan on October 5, 1935 to the late Gerald & Margaret Gleason. He was married to Shirley (Hill) Gleason on July 28, 1998 in Lapeer, Michigan. She preceded him in death in May 3, 2013.
He enjoyed life to the fullest, traveling all over the world, going to the casino, watching western movies all day,, being with his children, grandchildren, neighbors at the home on the river and being with his nephew Lavern (Chris) Hill.
Left to cherish his memory are his children William & Judy Gleason and Derrick & Debra Gleason and Lori & Ken Rose; grandchildren Stacie &Todd Jaroh, Derrick & Ashley Gleason Jr., Stephanie & Jason Bliss, Nichole Gleason, Kris Gleason, Sara & Rick Kelly, Kathe & Bryan Shaw, Todd & Kerry Rose; Great grandchildren Kaitlyn, Emma, Brooklyn, Jacob, Samantha, Jacob, Shane, Alec, Kendra, Gabe, grant, Olivia, Garet and Madaline; asister Peggy & Norm Gifford. He was preceded in death by his son Terry Jay Gleason and a sister Janice Coleman.

In honoring Joe’s wishes cremation has taken place. He will never be forgotten and he will always be in our hearts. A memorial service will take place at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Sisson Funeral Home.
