Obituary for Karen Perry
Karen Lyn Perry, 50, of Gladwin, Michigan, formerly of Southfield, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 13, 2017. She was born November 28, 1966 in Detroit, Michigan. She was the daughter of Don and Dora Roschefski.

She graduated from Southfield High School in 1984 with honors in vocal music. She loved to sing and was a member of the 12 person Madrigal Chorale Group.

She married Jo-Morris Perry on September 23, 1995. They resided in Southfield, Michigan until 1999. She was employed in the bakery at Fruchey Family Markets for approximately 16 years. She was an excellent cake decorator.

Karen was a beautiful woman with an amazing heart. She never hesitated to lend a hand or to give of herself to help anyone who needed it. To her, you were family, even if you were not blood related. She was an excellent cook and baker.

She will be dearly missed by her husband, Jo-Morris Perry of Gladwin; son, Thomas Nelson of Gladwin; mother, Dora Roschefski of San Diego, California; sister, Sue (Bill) Schwartz of Gladwin; brothers, Mark (Heather) Roschefski of Santee, California, and Jim (Becky) Roschefski of Clarkston, Michigan; nephews, Byron Bentley of Charlotte, Michigan, Jonathan Bentley of Chesterfield, Michigan, Chad Todd of Traverse City, Michigan, James Roschefski of Clarkston, Michigan, Jonathon Roschefski of Clarkston, Michigan; nieces, Carissa Petherbridge of Beaverton, Michigan, Chelsea Bernard of Saginaw, Michigan, Sarah Paisley of Gladwin, Michigan, Heaven Roschefski of California, Jaden Roschefski of Santee, California, Eden Roschefski of Santee, California, Lauren Fisher of Clarkston, Michigan; great-nephews, Brandon Bentley of Charlotte, Michigan, Andrew Bentley of Charlotte, Michigan, Robert Hundley III of Traverse City, Michigan, Gavin Bentley of Clinton Township, Michigan; and great-nieces, Miranda Bentley of Michigan, Mikayla Petherbridge of Beaverton; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, Don Roschefski; uncles, Melvin Roschefski, Ross Maifert and Don Maifert; aunts, Alice Roschefski and Shirley Geshell; her nephew, Damian Roschefski; and her uncle, John Kania.

Arrangements are being handled by Sisson Funeral Home of Gladwin. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at 2 p.m. at the Gladwin Free Methodist Church with Pastor Phil Hortop officiating.
