Ms. Foerster 62 passed away Saturday December 5, 2015 at Gladwin Rehabilitation & Nursing Center following a lengthy illness. She was born in Mt. Clemens on May 18, 1953 to Harold & Jean (Jones) Foerster. She received her BS Degree in Education from Campbellsville College, Kentucky. She worked in the Head-Start program in Midland and Gladwin counties and the Big Brothers and Sisters Program in Gladwin and Harrison. She enjoyed music, gardening especially with her mother, being close to the water where she loved swimming, skiing and boating.
She is survived by her loving parents Harold & Jean Foerster; Aunt Patsy McMurtry; cousins Michael Thomas, Timothy Thomas, Patricia Shelton, Susan Bruce, Robert Perkins, Gary Sigler, Vicki Finn, Lori Sigler, Rick Foerster, John Foerster, Shelly Foerster and Peggy Ickes.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday December 8, 2015 at 11 am from Emmanuel Baptist Church with Pastor Joe Dorias presiding with burial in Sherman Township Cemetery. Family will greet friends at the church from 9 am Tuesday to the time of services. Those wishing an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the New Dawn Shelter, 137 Commerce Ct. Gladwin, Michigan 48624. Arrangements are entrusted to Sisson Funeral Home.
