Obituary for Kim Hans Karklins
Kim Karklins, 50, of Midland, Michigan, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2019, at work in Midland Michigan. He was born on September 21, 1968 in Clare Michigan, the son of Leopold and Herta Karklins of Gladwin Michigan. Kim was most recently employed at Okeefe Electric, Midland Michigan, as an industrial electrical estimator. He will be remembered as a person who loved life, and had a huge heart. Kim would always lend a hand and give the shirt off his back to help others. His great personality and sense of humor will always be remembered. Kim was an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, duck hunting, and snowmobiling. He also was an amateur radio operator and He loved to cook, and the fire never went out in his barbeque pit. He also loved competition, evidenced by his building and racing snowmobiles as part of the Sad Sack Snowmobile Racing Team. As a member of Michigan Steelheaders Kim participated in numerous community education projects. His memory will be forever cherished by companion Deana Whitmer, and his sister, Lilita Karklins and Husband Mark of Munising Michigan; brothers, Leopold and companion Kelly Thurston, of Midland Michigan; Roland and wife Joy, of Shingleton Michigan, niece Klaryce of Midland Michigan, Nephew John and wife Patty of Chesaning Michigan, Nephew Christopher of Olivet Michigan. Memorial visitation will take place on Wednesday, January 9th from 5-7pm at Sisson Funeral Home. The time of a Celebration Of Life Service will be held January 9th ,2019 at 7pm with Pastor Tony Reynolds officiating.
