Mr. Lamb, CPA age 87 a loving husband and father passed away Saturday February 4, 2017 at Heavenly Homestead Adult Foster care following a lingering illness.
Leland was born on January 25, 1930 in Lapeer, Michigan to the late Leroy and Emma (Mulholland) Lamb. He graduated from Flint Central High School and Ferris State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. Leland served in the U. S. Army during Korean War and was stationed in the Philippines.
Leland married Lois Hayward on March 2, 1957, in Flint, Michigan and worked as the auditor for the City of Flint. They moved to Oxford, Michigan in 1964, where he owned his accounting business. He was involved in many civic activities such as the Rotary Club and the Village Council where he served as president for many years. He retired from the Oxford Savings Bank in 1995, where he was a controller and Vice President. After his retirement in 1995, Leland and Lois moved to Sugar Springs and became member of the Calvary Baptist Church in West Branch.
Leland is survived by his wife, Lois, two daughters Connie & Kevin Ellisen of Kenmore, Washington and Cindy & David Breederland of West Concord, Minnesota; grand children Aimee & James Kliewer of Vermillion, South Dakota, Randall Breederland of St. Paul, Minnesota, Kyle Ellisen of Kenmore, Washington, McKenzy Ellisen of Kenmore, Washington and a brother Robert Lamb of Flint, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Clair Mulholland, Fred Lamb and Lawrence Lamb.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday February 9, 2017 at 1 pm from the Calvary Baptist Church, West Branch with Pastors George Coon and Thomas W. Teall presiding. Private committal services will be held at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly Michigan. On Wednesday the family will be present at the Sisson Funeral Home from 2 to 6 pm to receive family and friends. On Thursday Mr. Lamb will lie in state at the church from 12 noon until time of services. Those wishing an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Heartland Hospice of West Branch or an organization of their choice.
