Mr. Osmun 91 passed away peacefully on Tuesday March 1, 2016 at his home following a lengthy illness. He was born July 19, 1924 in Hicksville, Ohio to the late Dale & Ella (Scranton) Osmun. He married the former Eleanor Bronson on December 28, 1948 in Hicksville, Ohio. She survives him. He was a veteran of WW II serving in the U.S. Army and had a farm until 1980. They moved to the Gladwin area in 1980 where he owned and operated Ozzie’s Auto Wash and Mini Golf. He enjoyed fishing and being with his family and making new friends. He was quite the talker!
He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, a son Dana & (Michele) Osmun and a daughter Donna King; 3 Grandchildren Marcie King Chenette, Zakk and Zane Osmun; 2 great grandchildren Jason Chenette and Brooke Chenette; 3 sisters LaVera Haller, Lois Howe and Wanda Hoffman. He was preceded in death by 6 siblings.
In honoring his wishes cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life is planned for a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Sisson Funeral Home.
