Mrs. Matestic, 99 passed away Thursday December 4, 2014 at Gladwin Nursing & Rehabilitation Community following a lingering illness. She was born in Luciusboro, PA on February 20, 1915 to the late Paul & Teafola (Tabaka) Lagant. Lottie married Anthony “Tony” Matestic on January 27, 1942 in Detroit, he preceded her in death in 1996. She was a member of Our Lady of Grace Parish and retired from Saginaw Community Hospital. She enjoyed gardening, canning, playing cards and working crossword puzzles.
She is survived by 2 sons Leonard and Jerry Matestic; 4 grandchildren Tanya, Todd, Ronnie and Patricia; 2 great grandchildren Ella and Eva; a sister Agnes Bytnar of PA. She was predeceased by 2 sons Ronald and Raymond Matestic; brothers Joe, Chester, Eddie & Johnny and 2 sisters Veronica & Anne.
Funeral Services will be held Friday December 12, 2014 at 1 pm from the Sisson Funeral Home with Mr. Jerry Beebe presiding with burial in Billings Twp. Cemetery. Family will greet friends at the funeral home on Friday from 10 am until time of services.
